If you upgrade your EasyScan PC to Windows 11, several Windows security and power-saving features must be adjusted manually.
Windows 11 enables these features by default, and they block the EasyScan software or camera drivers.
This article explains which Windows 11 settings are required so EasyScan runs stable and reliably, without additional configuration by support.
Windows 11 may block required EasyScan drivers when Core Isolation is enabled.
Open Windows Security
Go to Device security
Click Core isolation
Open Core isolation details
Set Memory integrity to Off
Restart the PC
This step is mandatory for EasyScan.
Windows Exploit Protection can interfere with EasyScan.
Open Windows Security

Open Exploit protection settings
Switch to Program settings
Check if EasyScan.exe is listed
If yes: disable any active rules
If not: no action required
SmartScreen can block applications or installers.

To prevent Windows Defender from blocking EasyScan components, exclusions must be set.

Scroll to Exclusions
Add the following folders:
%LocalAppData%\EasyScan
C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyScan
C:\ProgramData\Epitop\emBox
