Transferring EasyScan Database and Pictures to a New Computer

Yes, this is possible! With a few simple steps, you can move your EasyScan images and examinations from an old computer to a new one.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Create a backup on the old computer
    1. First, create a backup of your EasyScan data using this guide. 
  2. Install EasyScan software on the new computer
    1. See the following guide: Installing EasyScan on a new computer
    2. Important: After installing the EasyScan Software, do not start the application.
  3. Transfer the data
  4. On the old computer, open the folder:
    1. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\EasyScan
    2. Copy the entire folder to a storage medium (e.g. USB stick).
    3. Paste the folder on the new computer in the same location, replacing the existing EasyScan folder.
  5. Start the software
    1. Now start the EasyScan software on the new computer for the first time.
  6. Log in with your usual credentials
    1. Use the same login details that you used on the old computer.
