Installing or Reinstalling the EasyScan Software
This guide helps you install the EasyScan software on a new computer or set it up again after a software issue.
Requirements and Preparation
Before installing, please check the following:

Important Note for Windows 11 Users:
On some Windows 11 devices, security settings may cause problems during installation.
Please deactivate “Core Isolation” (Virtualisation-Based Security, VBS) in Windows 11 settings, as this feature can affect the performance of the EasyScan software.
Preparing the installation files:

You can find the correct version for your device here: Which software version do I need?
Calibration file (ending with .bin)
This file is required for your EasyScan camera. You can usually find it:
- on the USB stick delivered with your EasyScan
- on the old computer under the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyScan
- or by emailing us at easyscan@epitop.com with your sensor ID and serial number
Optional: Skin file (user interface file). If necessary, you can download the standard skin file here
Place all files together in one folder on your computer.
If the files are compressed ("zipped"), please decompress ("unzip") these files before proceeding: Right-click the Zip-file and select “Extract All”
Step-by-Step Installation guide
- Open the folder with the prepared files.
- Double-click on the file EasyScan.exe.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Transferring EasyScan database and images from another computer
- If you have already used EasyScan on another computer and saved images there, you can transfer these.

Technical Support:
The epitop support team is happy to assist you via remote access.
- Technical support is charged at €50 per 15 minutes
- For customers with an epitop VISION package, the first 15 minutes of technical support are free.
Before your appointment, please ensure that Windows Quick Assist or TeamViewer is installed on your computer.
