Uploading Images and Data to the epitop VISION Platform
This article provides an overview of the different ways to upload images and, where applicable, measurement data to the epitop VISION Platform.

Users of fundus cameras without an integrated connection can manually upload images or measurement data to the platform at any time.
How to do it:
- Open the epitop VISION Platform.
- Click the “Where is what?” button at the bottom right of the screen.
- Select “Add patient” to start the interactive guide.
em.box – Automatic Import of DICOM Files
The epitop em.box automatically imports DICOM files from monitored folders (watchfolders) for supported camera systems.
Currently supported devices:
- DRS PLUS
- Topcon Maestro 2
- Rodenstock FundusScope
- Oculus Pentacam

- For an individual setup of the em.box with your specific camera, simply book an online support appointment.
- The number of supported systems is growing continuously. If you would like to suggest a device, please send us your request here.
Important: This option often requires the image export of your camera to be configured by the manufacturer or supplier.
Required settings:
- File format: DICOM
- Export target: a shared folder (watchfolder) not accessed by any other software or service.
Via the CNXT software, images and data from devices connected to CNXT can be transferred directly to the epitop VISION Platform.

If you are using EasyScan, there are two ways to upload:
- Directly from the EasyScan software using the em.box interface, or
- If your EasyScan is integrated in CNXT, please follow this guide.
